Attention Grabbing

My hubby, of course.  He can be quite the attention grabber.  But he's taken.  Sorry.  Or not.  :-)

The kids absolutely LOVE to watch him wake board!  Me too...I mean, he IS pretty awesome at it.  And he weathered less than desirable water temps at the lake not too long ago for this developing hobby of his.

He's so talented!!  I'm not sure there is anything he does that he's not good at, now that I think about it!

My favorite part was watching Rhodes' head go back and forth, over and over again, as Robert crossed and jumped the wake during this particular run.   It was so cute....he definitely knows who his Daddy is.   They all look up to him!

Seriously, look at all those CUTE bottoms.  I could pinch them all!  Oh wait, I do.   'Cause they're so cute!

Thank you to my Mom for capturing these sweet moments of all 6 of us!!   AND remembering to send me the pics! :-)

Hammocky

Rhodes LOVED the hammock at the lake. Even though he maybe, just maybe flipped out of it once due to 2 of the other 6 little hands running around and grabbing the side of the hammock.  I will neither confirm or deny that last statement.

Tough baby, none the less.

Fresh air does a baby good.

To Tube or Not To Tube

That is the question.  There's a fine line that parents have to learn to push sometimes.  Like when your children say they want to do something, then back out.

We had to MAKE our kids get in this tube.  They argued a bit, but Robert chose to push this line.  We knew they would love it.  We told them, they had to do if for just a little bit, and if they didn't like it, then they could come in.

Well, we started.  Got to give the right hand signals.

From both of them!

A little unsure....but looks like Landon likes it.

Yeah, I think that's a happy face....

Oh yeah, pretty sure they're glad we made them get in!

Obviously, we weren't going to push the 2 year old to get on, but she insisted she wanted to ride.  So we pulled the tube in and put her in it.  Definite uncertainty.

She's not quite sure yet.   We're still letting the slack out of the rope.  Olivia and Landon are excited to go again!

Reality setting it for Lillian...really not sure she likes this.

Definitely NOT!  Olivia waving to us (as if we and the entire lake couldn't hear her already) telling us she doesn't like it.   Really!??  Couldn't hear tell.

So we pulled her in - proud of her for getting in though - and let the others go for another spin!  Landon kept wanting to go faster and faster!

It was a beautiful day to tube!

And the first thing Landon said when they were done was, "That was awesome!"

Yes, sometimes parents really do know best! It would have been so easy to give into their fear and let them stay in the boat. But we aren't here to raise fearful kids!!!

Hopefully we can get Olivia skiing this year!!

Lake Fun

Obligatory first boat ride pictures of Rhodes.  :-)  And his life vest.  Can't go on a boat ride without it!

Little smushy marshmallow.

I mean, seriously, Lillian!?  She stuck her tongue out at the Publix bagger the other day.  Of course, he thought it was cute.

Flying baby! :-)

Sunset cruise!!!  It was SO nice!

It was so beautiful!  Robert even wakeboarded!  So the water couldn't have been that cold.

Hello there.

We LOVE the lake and can't wait to go back!  Hopefully this summer we'll make it a whole lotta weekends!

Recovering

From a very fun weekend.  Remedy?  Some pretty awesome sleep.  Well, for some.  I still could use a few more years hours of sleep myself.  One day...one day.  ;-)

But for now, I will show you what really, really, really good sleep looks like for 2 of my boys.

Slumber.  Deep slumber.  Ohh, I long for that kind of sleep.

Not a care in the world.

'Cause he didn't care one bit to be put to sleep in this chair.

Right next to a man the I consider my personal favorite.  :-)

Yeah...now, that's some GOOD, deep sleep.

What's that like again?!?!  I can't quite remember.

Sewing Tip: DeMonogramming

Pretty sure I just made that word up.  Demonogram.  Maybe unmonogram?  Nope.  Didn't get past spell check.

Anywho....it sums up what I've been doing a lot of lately.  I have lots and lots of beautiful outfits that I hate see going to waste.  I've pulled out all of the spring clothes for Lillian (and Rhodes) that are hand me downs and most of them have Olivia's (or Landon's) monogram on it!

So in order to get the most out of them, I've decided to take out the monogram and get it remonogrammed with their name/initials.

(Yes, I know you can applique over it or put a patch over it - I've already done that to one outfit and don't want to do it to others)

So, yeah, those monograms are TIGHT!  And it was one of the most tedious things I've ever done.

BUT, after hours and hours of picking out one monogram, I found that there was a much better and FASTER way of get it out!  I wanted to share, because it made things so much easier for me.

I razored them out!  I pretty much shaved off the back and then picked the rest off with a seam ripper.  I think it took 45 minutes for me to get one whole monogram out the last time.  Which is SUPER fast!

Anyways, I hope this helps somebody out!  I can't wait to refill these with the appropriate initials!  :-)
