Well, it's been a quiet and yet trying week! We are finally getting into the swing of things with Olivia's school schedule. I'm also trying to hit the gym at LEAST 4 times a week for an hour! ::Off on a rant now:: I tell you, after 3 kids, your body just isn't the same. I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong. It could be worse. But after I had Landon, I worked SO HARD to get into shape! I could actually say I was happy with my entire body! I was in the best shape I've EVER been! That's pretty big! And it went completely out the door with Lillian. I also worked out my entire pregnancy. I don't feel like I have unrealistic expectations - I just want to get back into my Citizens of Humanity jeans that I paid some $$ for! You know what I mean?? At least they button. But like I said, I'm not complaining ( :-) ) and I am still 100% nursing. And she's only 11 weeks old. Gosh, as I'm typing this I'm realizing it isn't too bad. But pregnancy just does such a number on your body!
Anyway, off of that now! Robert's car broke down on I459 at 9:00 PM with Landon IN THE CAR!!! WHAT??? Poor thing is still talking about all the smoke coming out of the car! I'm not sure what is going to happen. We're definitely not in the position to buy a new car! It feels like we've been hit with so much financially this summer! But Robert (what would I do without him!) said, "Well, we can get really mad at the whole situation, or we can realize that God let this happen for a reason!" WOW, talk about faith!
This is a great opportunity to put our trust in God to provide for us! Hasn't He always??? ::yes:: :-) It's also been a good, tangible opportunity to teach the kids about God and how he works! We're getting their "child like faith" involved in the prayers! So, we'll see. I'm just glad that I'm "under" Robert - and that he's under God! Submission isn't that bad - I'm MORE than happy to let Robert make these tough decisions! I know that he and God will take care of us and that they have our best interests in mind!
What peace!! Huh?!
On a totally different note - Landon found my pinking shears today! (they cut a zig zag shape on whatever you cut!) My sewing station is in our dining room and the kids hardly ever make their way in there. It's just a room that is rarely used or walked through.
Well, he managed to use them - ON MY CURTAINS!!! It's my fault, I left them out!
Thank goodness I can sew and "fix" it for a while! This is why I don't buy nice furniture or fixings! One day I'll have my dream house! Right now, I'm doing damage control!!
Oh my goodness! Landon and the sheers of JB and the wall art! What will we do with these two?? haha
ReplyDeleteI am still praying for you about the vehicle and you are in great shape my dear! Don't knock it! All of your hard work is paying off. Just remember - it took 9 months to put on the extra weight and it takes time to undo such accomplishments! :)
That should say OR JB not of JB. Oops!
ReplyDeleteBy the way - it always makes my heart melt when the kids get a concern or prayer that they are in on. Especially when it is thoughtful. When we bought their $5 kiddie pool and they used it for the first time, they were jumping and playing and having a ball! HC stopped, looked at me and said - "Mom, I think I'm going to pray for God to give us a pool that you and Daddy can use too. This one won't fit you." She stopped right there, dripping wet - in mid play, and prayed. I was so proud of her for thinking of going to God with her 'need' and for thinking of us in the middle of a fun time!
